Portraiture is a relationship between photographer and subject. Like all relationships, it must be two-way. I do not want to be a mere recorder of faces or events. Even if my subject is someone completely unknown to me, I am linked to them in an inexplicable way. Through their eyes, I want the authenticity of the moment to be highlighted. Here too, it is a matter of time. On the one hand, the short time available to take the photograph, and on the other, the need to create a relationship between me and my subject in this short period. Conversation; outlining their character; freezing the pose at precisely the moment that there is interaction; capturing not the appearance, but the emotion of the moment.
